The Beverly Breast Cancer Walk Committee Receives Recognition From the City of Chicago

Chicago Alderman Matt O’Shea (19th Ward) and Mayor Rahm Emmanuel introduced a resolution before the Chicago City Council, saluting the Beverly Breast Cancer Walk committee for their dedication and fight against breast cancer.

On Mother’s Day, May 13th 2012, more than 12,000 people walked and supported the 13th Annual Beverly Breast Cancer Walk (BBCW).

All proceeds from the BBCW go toward Little Company of Mary’s Comprehensive Breast Health Center that will be located in the new Women’s Center for Life and Health, scheduled to open on October 2012 (register for your sneak peak tour on Oct 14th). The Accredited Comprehensive Breast Health Center will provide the latest technology and treatment approaches from an expert, caring medical team led by Breast Surgeon, Dr. Nancy Taft.  To learn more about the Comprehensive Breast Health Center or to take a free breast cancer on-line risk assessment, please visit www.lcmh.org/BreastCancer.
