The Campus Transformation is underway. Little Company of Mary has teamed up with architectural firm VOA, and The Hammes Company to work on the Project’s design features. The Hospital will look to select a general contractor for the new facility, the West Pavilion, in August. Currently, Pepper Construction is hard at work on the site preparation for the new building, including rerouting sanitary, sewer and electrical lines. We are planning to break ground in September.
Drawings from the architect show the best location for the West Pavilion to be directly west of the existing Tower Building. The Project is estimated to cost between $150-$180 Million. The West Pavilion will be home to:
- The Women’s Center for Life and Health
- The Breast Health Center
- The Family Birth Center
- 96 private patient rooms with private baths
- One Day Surgery Pre-and Post-Op Care
On the Campaign front, Co-Chairs of the Physician Campaign Committee, Drs. Hanlon, Ramadurai and Rowan and their Committee have raised $700,000 to date, with more to come.
Our Business Committee, which is comprised of 13 local and downtown business professionals, has met and will begin soliciting Chicagoland corporations and community businesses. The hospital has already received a number of Foundation grants to the campaign with additional proposals in process.
To date, Values. Vision. Innovation: The Campaign for Little Company of Mary Hospital has raised $7.1 million of the $12.5 million goal! We continue to welcome your support and hope you will consider a gift or pledge to the Campaign. There are many naming opportunities available at various levels for you or your loved ones.
