Family Fun Nights Kick-Off Summer 2016 in the Beverly Community

Fun was had by families in the Beverly community throughout the month of June as summer kicked off with a series of Family Fun Nights. Presented by Little Company of Mary Hospital (LCMH), Beverly Area Planning Association (BAPA) and Comer Children’s Hospital at the University of Chicago, guests enjoyed live music, good food and fun activities for the kids on Thursdays in June.

June 2nd: Rootin’ Tootin’ Hoedown

DSC00502Family Fun Nights kicked off with Jamie from Miss Jamie’s Farm, who entertained children with her fun, playful farm animal songs, while families were able to enjoy delicious treats from Calabria Imports and Original Rainbow Cone. Dorit Koren, M.D., Pediatric Endocrinologist from Comer Children’s Hospital, was available to answer health questions. Cowboy hats and walking toy horses from LCMH added to the theme of the night!

June 16th: Bubble Bash

DSC00544Kids had the chance to learn about animals and the environment while finding out some interesting and fun facts from Nature’s Creatures, Erin Yanz’s popular petting zoo. The evening also included playtime with bubbles, sidewalk chalk, food from Calabria Imports, and more! Additionally, moms and dads had the opportunity to meet Bree Andrews, M.D., M.P.H., Neonatologist from Comer Children’s who is now seeing patients right in Evergreen Park.

June 23rd: Summer Kick-off Party

DSC00530Live music and fun activities were in store for families as we celebrate everyone’s favorite time of year: summer! There was water balloon fun, a bounce house, bubbles, Original Rainbow Cone, Calabria Imports, and much more! Kids got bells from LCMH to sport on their bikes for the season and had the opportunity to win prizes from Comer Children’s Hospital at the University of Chicago.
