More than 830 guests enjoyed the 22nd annual Crystal Heart Ball on Saturday, February 4, 2012, at the Field Museum. The event featured the Abbott Hall of Conservation “Restoring Earth” Exhibit, music from the Indigo Orchestra and Patrick Elwood of Fox 32 Chicago as the Master of Ceremonies.
This premiere gala – largest of its kind originating from the Southwest side of Chicago – raised more than $450,000 for Values. Vision. Innovation: the Campaign for Little Company of Mary Hospital.
The Venerable Mary Potter Humanitarian Award was presented to the Board of Directors of the Mulliganeers including Pat Byrne, Randy Ramsey, Bob Sheehy and Dr. Michael Zindrick. The Sister Nancy Boyle Award for Excellence was presented to Joan Murphy, R.N., Ph.D, on behalf of the Women’s Wellness Consultants of Little Company of Mary Hospital. Jim and Marti Wendt Doherty chaired the fundraising event along with their co-chairs, Dr. Irving and Shirley Fuld. They presented four cash raffle prizes as well as a raffle prize of a 48” Strand of Akoya Japanese Cultured Pearls won by Marlo Keyser. The grand prize cash raffle of $15,000 went to a Little Company of Mary Orthopedic Surgeon, William Farrell, M.D.
The event benefits the hospital’s replacement tower, which is scheduled for completion in Fall 2012. Learn more about the campus transformation.
