The Women’s Wellness Consultants at Little Company of Mary Hospital (LCMH) invite women of all ages and stages to attend their annual Celebrate the Heart of Women event on Sunday, February 15th. This special event will take place at the Oak Lawn Hilton (9333 S. Cicero Avenue) from 9:00 a.m. to noon. The fee for the event is $40 before February 6th, $45 after.
All grandmothers, mothers, daughters, sisters, classmates, and friends are welcome to come and enjoy a special liturgy, delicious brunch and motivational presentation from Lieutenant Colonel Nancy Taft, M.D. Dr. Taft, fellowship-trained breast surgeon at LCMH, will share in her presentation, a Heartfelt Salute, how her personal journey as a mother, soldier, surgeon, and woman of faith inspires the care she gives to her patients.
“The people I have come across along my various paths have influenced me and helped mold me into the woman I am today,” said Dr. Taft. “I am honored to have this opportunity to share my journey with other women in the community at such a wonderful event.”
Celebrate the Heart of Women is an event that honors the spiritual side of women with a special liturgy while empowering women to make their own health a priority. “It is important for women to take the time to refresh their hearts, minds and spirits,” said Joan Murphy, R.N., Ph.D., Director of the Health Education Center at LCMH.
This is an opportunity for you to pamper yourself and enjoy a morning of inspiration, motivation and rejuvenation. There will be a special tribute to women in the military at the event and music will be provided by the Mother McAuley High School Choir. Because February also is American Heart Month, a time to celebrate the gift of heart health and focus on ways to minimize risk for cardiovascular disease, women are encouraged to wear red to the event. The fee for the event is $40 before February 6th, $45 after. To register, call 708.424.9988 or visit LCMH.org/Celebrate.
