Little Company of Mary Hospital Receives Certified Urgent Care Designation from the Urgent Care Association of America

Little Company of Mary’s Care Stations (Care Station East and Care Station West) have received the Certified Urgent Care designation, which distinguishes them as true urgent care centers. The Care Station East (located at 5660 West 95th Street in Oak Lawn) and the Care Station West (located at 6700 West 95th Street in Oak Lawn) provide patients with walk-in, extended-hour medical attention with physicians available for a large scope of medical conditions. The Little Company of Mary Care Stations are part of a select few around the country that have met all of UCAOA’s nationally-standardized criteria. Both Care Stations have met all of the Urgent Care Association of America’s established criteria, which can be found on the Urgent Care Association of America’s website: www.ucaoa.org.

The healthcare environment is ever-changing and it is becoming more and more important for patients to understand their treatment options. Urgent care is a convenient and viable option for medical conditions that cannot wait for a scheduled appointment with a primary care physician. Both Care Station East and West accept unscheduled, walk-in patients during all hours of operation and are equipped with x-ray and laboratory services. Furthermore, a physician is always available to perform minor procedures. Urgent care conveniently fills the gap between primary care and hospital emergency rooms.

With its certification, Little Company of Mary’s Care Station East and West and the Urgent Care Association of America demonstrate their commitment toward providing patients with access to appropriate levels of care.

“Our recognition by the Urgent Care Association of America further validates our commitment to the quality and safety of our patients, “said Dennis Reilly, President and C.E.O. of Little Company of Mary Hospital and Health Care Centers. “By following evidenced-based guidelines for interventions, our highly talented medical team is improving patient outcomes.”
